Careers

We are a small, expert-led company. We hire carefully, and mostly through referrals and conversations rather than a standard recruitment process.

Open role

Business Development and Cyber Resilience Consultant

Location: Netherlands, ideally close to Eindhoven or the wider Dutch ecosystem.

Venation is opening up a small number of carefully selected roles in the Netherlands. The profile we are looking for is a bit unusual.

We need someone who can help us build our Dutch market presence, develop relationships, and support the delivery of cyber resilience services. We do not want a classic salesperson or a pure consultant. More like a business developer who can grow into cyber delivery.

Someone who can speak with clients, understand their technical pain, help shape opportunities, support workshops, and over time become part of the way Venation delivers scenario-based cyber resilience work. The right person might be junior or early mid-level. We do not need someone with 15 years of experience. We prefer someone sharp, reliable, curious, and willing to learn fast.

What matters most

  • Comfortable speaking with clients and partners about cyber
  • Strong follow-up discipline
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Passionate about cyber security, resilience, risk, or intelligence
  • Able to understand business problems, not just sell services
  • Dutch and English professional communication
  • Comfortable working in a small, expert-led company
  • Curious enough to learn Venation's scenario intelligence methodology
  • Practical enough to help things move forward

This could suit someone with a background in

  • Cyber security
  • Risk or compliance
  • Consulting
  • Business development
  • B2B services
  • Public-private security networks
  • Intelligence, resilience, or operational risk
  • Or someone younger with the right mindset who wants to grow into this field

The role would likely include

  • Following up with warm leads and existing network contacts, helping qualify opportunities
  • Supporting Dutch market development
  • Preparing and joining client conversations
  • Supporting workshops and tabletop exercises
  • Gathering client feedback
  • Helping translate cyber resilience into simple, practical language
  • Building relationships in the local ecosystem

We know this is a bit of a sheep with five legs profile. That is exactly why we are starting with referrals and conversations rather than a standard recruitment process. If this sounds like you, or someone you know, please get in touch.
